The below loan scam email was sent to an email address that exists only to catch scam emails. It has never been used to register on any site, only to communicate with scammers.

Dear Madam / Sir,

Do You need a Loan?. Have the Bank Refused to offer you a Loan??. The Universal Credit Firm is here to attend to your financial needs. Our company is registered and We offer Loans to individuals and companies in need of Loans. We offer Loans at 1.5% interest rate for personal, business and investment purposes.

NOTE: If you are a financial consultant with clients in need of loans or investment funding you can refer such clients to us and we will pay you a commission calculated on the total interest amount on the loan or on the investment.

Why is this a loan scam?

  • It was sent from a totally different email address to the one that you are asked to reply to.
  • The email address used is a free Gmail address.
  • The email was mass-mailed to many recipients using BCC.
  • The email gives no indication of who is offering the loan, where they are based or who they are regulated by.
